Farming
is one of the Jobs (and skills) available in Transport Tycoon. As a farmer, you are responsible for harvesting and processing crops. You have the choice of farming in Paleto Bay or Grapeseed. Both areas have multiple fields that can be bought provided that you have the level for the field. There are animal breeding feture too

Getting Started
First, you will need to visit any Job Center
(except for Life Invader) to choose the farmer job.
Once you have the farmer job, head to one of the farms (Paleto Bay or Grapeseed) and start your duty on the farm. As a fresh farmer, you only have acces to a small field at Paleto bay so go there and buy it (30.000$).
Cultivating farming fields
This first side of the job allows you to cultivate some farming ressources by harvesting some seeds.
How to get seeds ?
- The first 3 types of seeds are available to the market (farmer), there are 2 locations on the map, 1 at Paleto / 1 at Grapeseed
- To obtain others seeds you will need to get them by another ways such as Prospecting and opening chests.
How to cultivate ?
There are multiple "steps" to cultivate seeds
- First, you'll need a tractor that you can buy from the vehicule dealership or steal one.
- After that go to an attachment point and select "Tractor (Plough)".
- Next, go to the field you bought previously and start the job by driving on the field. Once you're done the area, you will be awarded with farming experience.
- Now go back to the attachment point and select "Tractor (Seeder)", now once you get to the field a menu will open to choose your seed to harvest, there are levels requirements so you start with carrot seeds then you can use other seeds later. After that you can do exactly the same thing by driving on the field to harvest the area, you will be rewarded again once you're finished.
- Depending of which seed you choose, you'll have to wait until the growing timer is ended, you can track it by putting your cursor on the field in the map menu.

Animal breeding
The second aspect of the farmer job, there are no level requirement, the only thing you need is money.
- Head to a holding pen (red house) blip on the map and buy one of them (you can buy them all at once if you are rich)
- After buying it, lot of information are displayed :
- Animal Type
- Total animals
- Feed level
- Next feed tick
- Feed animals
- Next collection time
All you have to do here is take care of your animals by feeding them regularly. At the start you've got 1 animal and you can buy more of them by hitting the "Total animals" button (price is increasing after each purchase) Once you have animals on your farm make sure to feed enough the pen ! You can see a "feeding bar" which is decreasing by 1 tick each hour. You can collect your reward each 24h, this will give you farming experience.
